Still losing your money and peace to porosity?

A porous casting fails late, after the metal, the machine time and the machining have already been paid for. Scrap that piles up at the leak tester. Cores pulled and molds opened for unplanned rework. Trays quarantined by your customer while your line waits for the verdict.

Each shot that should have been a part is instead a cost, and every rejection chips away at the confidence that won you the contract.

Shrinkage porosity

As metal solidifies, it contracts. When enough liquid metal cannot feed the last-solidifying regions, internal shrinkage voids can form.

Gas porosity

Air in the shot sleeve and cavity can become trapped during filling, forming pores that may cause leaks or blisters after machining or heat treatment.
